The Trueheart Hotel

We loved our stay at the Trueheart Hotel! The property itself was charming, unique, and full of thoughtful details. The decor and in-room amenities were impressive, and the location is perfect! Very walkable to downtown and close to the wineries. We’ll absolutely be back on our next trip to Fredericksburg!

We loved trueheart. We had 13 of us stay for our friends 50th. The room was perfect, very clean. Huge bathroom, comfortable bed, loved the electric fireplace. It was perfectly located to Main Street and the staff were so friendly! The biscuits and fresh squeezed OJ in the morning were amazing! They communicated perfectly and made our stay great! Highly recommend!

I booked this stay in a whim in mid-January as I had a friend with some wine tasting vouchers who invited me last minute to join. I highly recommend. First, the property is very charming and easy to find. It is close to downtown, but still quiet and restful in the evenings. I was able to walk to all my activities (except the wineries, which I expected to drive to). Second, the room was cozy, comfortable, and well appointed. I'm very picky with beds as I have a bit of a bad back, but this was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in! The bed, the linens, the pillows all felt luxurious. Third, everyone was so friendly. I was checked in quickly and had the benefit of getting a few local recommendations as well. Finally, I must highly recommend the breakfast biscuit basket. Some of the best biscuits I've ever had, and a great way to start the day. I will definitely be returning.

The Trueheart hotel was a wonderful place to stay for our long weekend adventure with friends. The cottages are so comfortable and the outdoor spaces are inviting. We loved sitting by the outdoor fireplace. It is a short walk to Main Street, the WWII museum and the visitors center. Debbie showed us great hospitality and made sure everything was perfect for our stay.

Cute little, I'll call, boutique hotel. We were there for NYE 2025. The Mimosa (#10) was appropriately furnished with everything we needed. Loved the fireplace! Comfy bed. The location was the perfect starting point for each day of walking around town--either our morning walk OR day of shopping & wine tastings. We even bought The True Heart Hotel coffee mug sold in the office as another reminder of our stay. Would certainly stay here again!

2025 Octoberfest weekend visit to Fredricksburg was very nice, especially because we chose to stay at the Trueheart. The rooms were very nice and well-appointed. The location was perfect and the staff were super friendly. We stayed in the 2 suites above the office in the older building but they were updated nicely and worked well for 2 couples with connecting living areas. It's a little noisy from road in front suite but it had a noise canceling machine that worked great. Highly recommend this hotel. Next time we plan to rent 2 of the newer cottages but everything was nice here!

I had a fabulous stay at Trueheart hotel. The room (Cactus Wren) was nicely appointed and we loved the cozy gas fireplace on a cold TX evening. There is a lovely outdoor fireplace to enjoy, as well. That location of this room was quiet and private. Debbie in the front office went above and beyond when I left behind a special belonging and she insured it was safely shipped to me. Thank you, Debbie! I’d return in a heartbeat.

The Trueheart is absolutely the best lodging we have had while visiting Fredericksburg! We have stayed at many of the best hotels and short-term rentals in the area but Trueheart is exceptional! Every single aspect of the service and accommodations were perfectly executed. Each cottage is very unique and extremely spacious. The beds are unbelievably comfortable. We enjoyed a wonderful fireplace and a well stocked bar/kitchenette. The location is convenient to everything and there is dedicated parking on site. The grounds are lovely with a wonderful outdoor fireplace. Nothing short of spectacular. The Echarts
